4. II. CONCERNING THE TRINITY OF PERSONS FROM THE ATHANASIAN CREED READ BEFORE CALVIN

I read, before Calvin and some priests his followers, these words from the Athanasian Creed: "There is one Person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit;" and also these: "Like as we are compelled by Christian verity to confess each Person by Himself as God and Lord, so are we forbidden by the Catholic religion, to say three Gods or three Lords."
