3716. 'And said, Surely Jehovah is in this place' means the Divine present within this state. This is clear from the meaning of 'saying' in the historical descriptions of the Word as perceiving, often dealt with already; from the meaning of 'place' as state, dealt with in 1273-1275, 1377, 2625, 2837, 3356, 3387. 'Jehovah', it is clear, means the Divine. From these meanings it is evident that 'he said, Surely Jehovah is in this place' means perception that the Divine was present in this state.
