8649. 'And her two sons' means forms of the good of truth. This is clear from the meaning of 'sons' as truths, dealt with in 489, 491, 533, 1147, 2159, 2623, 3704, 4257, at this point forms of the good of truth since they are called his wife's sons here, as is evident from the original language,^a and similarly in verse 6 below, and therefore - since 'wife' means good joined to truth, 8647 - 'sons' here are forms of the good of truth. Forms of the good of truth are truths which have become part of the will and consequently of life; and they constitute the new will that exists with a member of the spiritual Church.
